Viðar wool rug Horse

EQUILANA Viðar wool rug is a further development and adaptation for horses of CANELANA's bestseller for dogs, the Ambassador wool rug.

The rug is made from 100% top-quality merino wool that we know your horse will love wearing.

The comfortable wool material provides superior insulation and moisture transport. The horse dries and stays warm – the wool absorbs sweat from the horse. This can, among other things, prevent rain rot.

• High neck with adjustable tightening at the top, as needed
• Tightening at the back that allows the rug to fit nicely around the hindquarters
• Leg straps with adjustable length
• Belly belt that covers the belly region, goes up over the back and is fastened on the side.
• The chest piece is flexible ribbed merino wool
• The rug is easy to keep clean; wood chips and hay can easily be shaken off

The rug is pulled over the head, placed over the back, the belly belt is fastened, and the rug is finally tightened at the back and the leg straps are attached with clips.

FACTS ABOUT WOOL

• Wool products can be aired out instead of washed. Wool is antibacterial, and dirt usually does not penetrate the fibers, but settles on the surface. Wool fibers are composed of a series of air pockets, which carry dirt, odors, moisture, and the like from the body or the outside, and this is released by simple airing in fresh air for a couple of hours.
• Wool insulates like a thermos because it consists of 80% air. Stagnant air is the secret behind all insulation.
• Wool provides warmth even when wet and can absorb moisture up to 30% of its own weight.
The wool rug therefore works well as a drying rug.
