The EQUILANA Viðar wool rug is a further development and adaptation for horses of CANELANA's bestseller for dogs, the Ambassador wool coat.
The rug is sewn from 100% merino wool of the highest quality, which we know your horse will love to wear.
The comfortable wool material provides superior insulation and moisture transport. The horse dries and stays warm - the wool absorbs the horse's sweat. Among other things, this can prevent wet eczema.
- High neck with adjustable tightening at the top, as required

The rug is pulled over the head, placed over the back, the belly belt is fastened and the rug is finally tightened at the back and the thigh bands are attached with clips.

FACTS ABOUT WOOL
- Wool products can be aired instead of washed. Wool is bacteriostatic, and dirt usually does not penetrate the fibres, but settles on the outside. The wool fibres are made up of a number of air pockets, which are carriers of dirt, odours, moisture and the like from the body or from the outside, and this is separated out by simply airing in fresh air for a couple of hours.
- Wool insulates like a thermos because it consists of 80 per cent air. Stagnant air is the secret of all insulation.
- Wool warms even when wet and can absorb moisture up to 30% of its own weight.
