FACTS ABOUT WOOL

•Wool products can be aired out instead of being washed. Wool is anti-bacterial, and dirt usually does not penetrate the fibers but stays on the surface. Wool fibers are composed of numerous air pockets that carry away dirt, odors, moisture, and the like from the body or the surroundings, and these are released by simply airing it out in fresh air for a couple of hours.

•Wool insulates like a thermos because it consists of 80% air. Stagnant air is the secret behind all insulation.

•Wool stays warm even when wet and can absorb moisture up to 30% of its own weight.
